What is PWELT?

PWELT is a time and cost efficient way to keep track of how stressors affect en organization, group or individual over time.

Once a week selected personnel answers a set of questions and makes a rating on a predefined scale. It is webbased and takes abaout 5-10 minutes.

Poorly handled stressfull work environments, often leads to lower performace, health issues and high turnover when it comes to personnel. Catering to psychosocial stress, workload as well as other stressors. Is key to maintaing a healthy work environment.

By continuously let staff leaders and/or individuals within the organization assess their current status and active stressors. We promote awareness as well as action mitigating those stressors. Over time we get a historical document that we can use to learn from experience, identify key stressors and evaluate preventive measures and leadership strategies.

PWELT is built upon well-established theoretical models and assumptions. The concept has been tested in several peacekeeping missions with success.

PWELT adresses several layers in its conceptualised form.

It directly causes identification of active stressors, their impact on the affected personnel and promots active handling of those stressors.

It communicates the current status to HR or management giving them easy accsessable information on how to give support that fits possible needs.

It sets the stage for follow up, are resources well distributed? is there unidentified stressors that we didn’t know of?

Once setup it sends a weakly assessment link with email, to any number of “raters”

Assessments are then easily accessed for Management or HR for analysis.

PWELT generates repports on current status as well as longterm and short term prognosis.

Each organisation has its known specific needs. PWELT is adaptable while maintaing its core concepts. After a general assessment of the target organization we set it up in a way that best suits defined needs.

We educate personnel and leaders/ management in how to make use of the tool to make it a resource for them as well and not just  task to check of.

Evaluating interventions. Any action taken to address Stress or Mental Health risks should be followed-up in a structured way. How else will we know if they worked?

One-time interventions such as inspiration lectures, team activities or any activity that offers a quick “fix” often has a rather short lasting effect on people.

If we want personnel and leaders to address stress effectively over time we must evoke a behavioural change.

PWELT targets behavioural change as well, making it a habit to identify and act on stressors. When done successfully it heightens self efficacy and trust with int the organisation
